The owners were extremely friendly and responsive when I arrived and throughout my stay.
The area is very peaceful and calm due to it be secluded which is perfect for resting.
It is not too far from town and an uber ride there and back isn't very expensive.
To conclude I would return without a doubt.

We were really happy that they provided an electric charging point for our car. The place itself was an oasis of rest after 10 days of travelling through Portugal. Very good recommendations for nearby restaurants was provided.

The garden and pool are nice , and after the music was stopped it was a very quiet and relaxing place. The kitchen was a bit spartan but we loved the barbeque outside to grill food. The living rooms of the appartment are nicely decorated.

The flat is very nice decorated, Madalena really has gone the extra mile to make sure the place looks immaculate. Really nice and comfortable beds , very quiet during the day and night , really good if you to have a rest during the day. The host, Madalena , was very friendly, and I could not ask for a better host. Definitely, I will be returning, and I 100% recommend it to anyone who is looking for a really nice place to stay.

Great view over a valley from a village setting. Modern but appropriate facility with a great pool, deck and garden. Excellent breakfast buffet. Superb dinners served by the hostess on request. Perfect place to relax.
The rooms are spacious, clean. I was travelling with my 5 year old son and it was ok for us. Just you need to note that shower and toilet doesn't have a soundproof isolation and everything is in one room, exactly as per photos. The premises are good, easy to get and even a walkable distance from restaurants in the same village. At night it was quite.
It was also nice to have a shared premises for an evening meal. The owners are beyond friendly and helpful.
Bagos da Vilar is an exceptional place, each room has it's own character, it's located on the outskirts of the village, in the mountains. It's quiet and atmospheric. Simple but lovely breakfast served daily- we felt comfortable there.
Breakfast brilliant - Beautiful home-made cake. The choc to die for. Standards were very high and the bottled wine they sold on behalf of a co-operative excellent: made for a lovely evening on the terrace looking at pool and backdrop of hills.
Would recommend using the small, informal local restaurant only 50metres walk away rather than travelling to fancier restaurants out of the village. - Roads narrow and slow, especially at night.
Warm welcome and chat with the host make you feel like a dear friend coming to a visit. Nice spacious rooms that reflect hosts passion for Africa. Perfect place in the mountains for a complete switch off. Not far from Lisbon area thus good location to visit western coast. Many lovely villages/towns and vineyards in 30km. In the evening the host took us to a nice local restaurant that served delicious authentic portugese food. Good breakfest.
Everything was perfect, though I have to admit I had a hard time looking at the stuffed hunt trophys in the breakfast room, especially the elephant tusks & the jaguar.. Well everyone has their own hobby I guess! Apart from that, very nice host who waited for us past the time, modern, clean, I would say perfect with an amazing swimming pool and views, lot of birds singing around, nice breakfast and cute village, a peaceful place. Host even offered us fruits from her orchard upon departure, thanks a lot :)
