What a wonderful place to completely disconnect! From the house to the pool, everything was so clean and well maintained that you can clearly see the love and care Sandra and Kurt put in this place. It was one of the most peaceful places I've ever been, and I'm already planning on going back. There was everything in the house, pans, towels, even a portable AC (which wasn't needed at all). Breakfast was full and had everything you needed and more, bacon, eggs, milk, bread, ham, jams, etc. The surrounding area was so quiet you could only hear the birds and the sheep that they have at the property (the cutest things) and Akita (the owners' dog) would make a very welcoming appearance once in a while too. There's nothing bad to say about Horta da Rosa. Congratulations to Sandra and Kurt for creating such an incredible place to be!

Very nice house in Vila Ruiva. The house is very spacious and fits 2 adults plus 2 children without problems. The decoration is very pleasing and gives it a nice touch. The children enjoyed a dip in the pool.

No words to describe my surprise when I saw how big, comfortable and welcoming the house was!!!! I wish I had stayed there for a week or longer! Great place to unwind and enjoy the countryside of Portugal!

What's not to like? Very friendly hosts! Did an effort to speak in Portuguese - which was lovely; the place is amazing, very well organized, clean, and prepared. We stayed in the 2nd house (5min walk from the pool) but definitely not an issue. The place is exactly the same as in the pictures. Fuit and vegetables from the farm ready for to be used - FOR FREE!! They were kind enough to handle towels with our names handwritten on the tags. 100% recommend and it's totally worth its value.

The place is stunning, located in a very peaceful countryside. There is plenty of space both inside and outside, each room has its own bathroom. We could use bicycles to cycle around Alentejo, nearby villages are very pretty and definitely worth vistiting. The host was extremely kind, shared home grown vegetables and food with us upon arrival. Due to unseen circumstances we were very late for check-in, but the host was still able to accommodate us without any problem. Fantastic place!
