Very relaxing and although it doesn’t have a pool yet the river is close and is a great swimming spot. The garden is lush and colourful and a great place to relax particularly in the evening. Carla and Paulo work really hard to make sure that everything is just perfect for your stay and nothing is too much for them. We spent five weeks here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Part of that time we had our 3 grandchildren aged between four and 11 staying with us. The river swimming for kids of that age is even better than a swimming pool and we have spent hours relaxing on the beach next to the river to then return to lush green garden and a barbecue.

Swara Slow Living hous was absolutely fantastic! Sandy was very welcoming from the first moment and went out of her way to ensure were were comfortable. The breakfasts in the morning were superb, as well as the vegetarian evening meal that Sandy cooked on our last night. The house is beautiful, cool and quiet. We loved spending time in the yoga room or lazying around in the hammocks in the garden. Sandy was very accommodating by providing a space for me to work from when I had to. The yoga and meditation session with Sandy was a highlight of our stay and SIMPLY AMAZING! This was a wonderful few days to recharge from a busy work and travel schedule. We rented a car in the end, which made it easy to get to Aveiro and the beaches. However I think it would also be possible to get a bus/train or Bolt to get around. If I lived closer, I would probably come here once a month to recharge :-)
