The location couldn't have been much better, just a short walk across a green space to the small town of Hahei. Mike and Andrea were terrific hosts and gave us good advice on things to do and places to eat. They also provided a shovel for nearby Hot Water Beach.

Beautiful scenery. Peaceful, quiet, with an INCREDIBLE view. The hosts are kind, relaxed and helpful people (with an adorable, friendly dog!) They provided us with yummy avocados 🥑
The location is also very handy to the stunning beaches of Hahei, Hot Water Beach and Cooks Beach. Whitianga is also not so far.
The accommodation is typical Kiwi casual bach style which felt very homey.
The hosts were very happy to answer questions.

You can walk to Cathedral Cove from Hahei Beach Resort, follow the beach and connect to the Cathedral Cove walkway (the walk takes about 1 hour each way).

A beautiful, well maintained park walking distance to the beach. Villas were comfortable and clean with everything you need for a short to medium term stay. We only had one night, would have liked to stay longer.
My sisters and I adored our ensuite villa. It was clean and cozy and a short walk down to hot water beach (we stopped at reception to hire a shovel, of course!). In the park shop, we were able to buy everything we needed to make ourselves a nice breakfast. We also bought a bottle of rosé, which we enjoyed on our patio that evening. We'd have happily stayed here for weeks rather than just a few days.
Had a great stay, and loved the villas and their unique design. The place was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and it was very quiet. Great experience!
The deluxe villa was beautiful, loved the sustainable New Zealand wood that was used. The kitchenette was adequately equipped. The location to the beach was excellent and there is a friendly atmosphere in the park.
We really liked the ensuite Villa and it had very good privacyand the bbq area was very spacious and we had a very nice Christmas eve. This place is well worth of money we spent. 10/10
The shower water pressure was a dream (the ensuite villa)! The location was a little difficult to find initially, but once within the compound, all needs were met well and the place was well run.
