Subha Guesthouse is just a stone throw away from Pottery Square and the location is very convenient, although it might be a bit loud early in the morning (or perhaps it was just an early parade for a special celebration?).
The host Mohan and his wife are lovely people, very caring and helpful. They served excellent breakfast on the rooftop (try the local yoghurt Juju dhao!) and were very kind to us; they also kept our backpacks while we were away on a two-day trip.
The room was clean and cosy. Lastly, make sure you visit Mohan's shop (beautiful woodcarving crafts and artwork).

An outstanding place to stay! The rooftop has extraordinary views of the mountains and is filled with sunshine. Keepa and her son are kind, generous and helpful hosts. They upgraded my room and helped with practical issues like transport and laundry. Nothing was too much trouble and Keepa was delightful to talk to. I felt like family. The bed was the most comfortable I have slept on in Nepal! The location is fantastic.

Dhruba and his team are awesome. An extremely friendly, peaceful and welcoming guest house with lots of work done to make you feel at home. The food is delicious. The local area is really charming with the local village, history of the temple, outstanding views and friendly people creating an excellent escape from Kathmandu. One of those places you leave wondering why there aren't more people visiting the area....... but that's part of the charm. Will return for sure.
This may well be the best hotel in the beautiful village of Bhaktapur. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bed was very good and the room was clean.

Amazingly beautiful view from the window. Room is nice and clean and bed is good. Friendly staff and hotel owner. They really gave great service, for example the hotel owner took our laundry to other city so we could get laundry service. The village is very peaceful and beautiful, and there's lovely nature areas near.
It was such a pleasure staying in this hotel. The owner are very kind and helpful, the room cozy and nice (the mountainview is amazing!) and the location great. We loved staying in the village. We had the chance to get to know the Nepal village life. We have seen how the traditional masks were made and came in contact with a lot of locals. A few shops are inside this little city so we could buy everything we needed and we walked just two minutes to a nice temple. From Changu it took us around 20 minutes by bus until we were in Bhaktapur.
Really happy we stayed here, we booked for 1 night and ended up staying 4. Really lovely and helpful staff. Nice to be out of the centre with a great view over the city. Behind the property is a great hiking area through villages which is really off the beaten track for tourists.
The property was very cute and cozy! Great garden with a view, comfortable room. Was there with a friend and we were very well welcomed, with warm people. The hotel is also in a typical Nepali village which is great to experience the Nepali integration and culture :)
