Set in the Nærøy Valley, this camping is surrounded by high mountains with a view of the Kjelfossen Waterfall. It offers an on-site kiosk and cottages with a patio and kitchen facilities.

Cooking hobs, a fridge and coffee machine are standard at Gudvangen Camping. We also offer pooltable and football games that can be rented at the reception.

Absolutely stunning setting! Short walk from port, the Viking village right there as well as shop for supplies. We had a very well appointed cabin, spacious clean bathroom, kitchenette with dishes, couple of pots and pans and a microwave! Staff lovely and friendly.

We stayed in Gudvangen for 3 nights early May. Initially we booked Gudvangen Budget Hotel. While check-in we were informed that the premises were being prepared for the summer season and we granted a stay at Cudvangen Fjordtell courtesy of the management. We were happy with such an unexpected upgrade to say the least. The room view was incredible overlooking 3 waterfalls just out of the window. The room had a separate entrance, was rather spacious; there was a bathroom and a WC in the room. As for the facilities, there was a soft cozy bed, a flat TV for those who cares, a fridge, a microwave oven, an electric kettle, some disposable tea-ware. The room, which had been redecorated not long before, was clean and quiet. There was a hairdryer, immaculate towels, some soap in the bathroom. The tropical rain shower was the thing one longed for after a long day hikes and walks in the area. The hotel served breakfasts at extra charge if required. There was a petrol station nearby and Joker supermarket, where one could buy some groceries up to the liking, and the shop outlet serving tasty hotdogs. We were really pleased with the stay and very welcoming staff of the hotel. By the way, Gudvangen is a nice starting point to get reach to the beginning of Rimstigen hike, there one can enjoy an incredible view over the fjord. We sincerely recommend to stay exactly at that premises and express our sheer gratitude to the personnel.

The atmosphere was perfect for our Norway in a Nutshell experience. The Viking Village was informative and fun. The waterfalls were picturesque and a perfect backdrop for the cabin-type room we enjoyed. Area food and breakfast were delicious and the gift shop was wonderful.

The location was perfectly situated in the fjord. The room was clean and accessible by road and by boat. The view from the room was breath-taking, and we could watch a waterfall from the mountain side. The continental breakfast was good and dinner at the restaurant was excellent. Hiking/boating/kayaking are very accessible, and just across from the rooms, there is a playground and the viking village attraction.

The location of this hotel is exceptional, as is the concept, BUT the hotel itself is in need of a refurb and refresh, especially given it was the most expensive place we stayed during our 12 day tour of Norway. We stayed in a Viking room in the round house - a bit gimmicky, but fun. All in all, a pleasant stay - mainly due to the views of the fjord and the onsite Viking village.

Breakfast was good. The location is superb and it is only a very short walk to Viking village. Staying at Gudvangen is more peaceful and it is very close to Flam, and you can do all Flam activities.

Nice location to sleep in if you want to visit a part of Sognefjord. The room was big and we had also our private terrace and parking area. There are two resturants nearby, a shop, the viking village and the point of departure of the cruise on the fjord.
