Vollenhove is a cute little city. There is ample shopping within a five minute walk of the house. The place is excellent for exploring the wider surroundings. Zwolle is a great city at about a half hour drive. There are also lots of other nice destinations nearby, like Kampen, Urk, Lemmer, and all kinds of beautiful watery landscapes (rivers, IJsselmeer, polderlandscapes, peat extractions etc.) giving you a historic crash course in how-to-build-the-netherlands. Great and cozy place to stay in a very nice town. The place was comfortable and nicely decorated and the bathroom was lovely. There was a nice living room with a kitchen with all necessary things and a full fridge with items to purchase. The breakfast is served in the room at the agreed timing, and you can have it inside or outside. Easy to park in front as its a residential neighborhood (or even inside if needed). The guests were really nice and also provided help finding some restaurants!
