You can really see great service not when everything goes great, but when something doesn't work as expected and the personel needs to react. There was a hickup in our check-in - we got a room that was not cleaned - and the reaction was perfect. After a phone, within 5 minutes, a staff member arrived (it was outside the hours where they are normally on site) and we got a new, bigger room. And for apology, we got a set of chocolates next morning.
Aside from that situation, other perks:, the room was very clean, good location, comfy beds, bike storage, common area where you can rest/eat/drink. Possibility to purchase drinks. No food however.

The location can't be beat. Such a quaint village that is very walkable/bikeable. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff were super friendly. Overall, it is a great option for traveling to the Belgium GP in Spa.
This bed and breakfast is located in a small beautiful village close to the Belgium border. Check in was contactless and easy using key boxes. The house is beautiful and comes with a big terraced yard. Free parking spots. Breakfast buffet was varied, very tasty and comes with personalized eggs.
The hosts were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The location was perfect - in a quiet village but within easy driving distance of Maastricht. The property has a beautiful garden which was a great place to relax.
Nice and cozy hotel. Amazing to have the hosts walk up to you in the morning to ask if you like to have an egg for breakfast and then they make it themselves. It's so much different (and in my opinion better) than the factory-treatment a big hotel brand will give you. It's not a five star hotel with a private whirlpool and stuff like that, but it's clean, it has everything you need, it's in a really nice village and it's owned by real people, who will help you with everything you need.

Freshly prepared breakfast. River Meuse is a short walk away with other cafés, bars and restaurants along the main street. Village location but close enough to Maastricht to cycle or drive.
A comfortable three bedroom 'auberge' in a quiet location in a charming village run by a husband and wife team. Very nice staff, very relaxed and trusting and reasonably priced. Within very easy and quick reach of Maastricht by car (5 miles away).
The location was fabulous, beautiful wee village, Ingmar and Ingrid were warm and welcoming such lovely people. We were greeted with the most delicious apricot pie freshly baked by Ingrid. Our apartment was immaculate, comfortable bed and tasteful. There was everything you could think off. I loved the coffee machine so much I am buying one now that I am back home.
