Very friendly family, walking distance from the airport and near to mulu national park - i went back to nap before walking back for the second part of the day activities, drinking bottles are available for purchase, breakfast, lunch (on request) and dinner are available. Hot water is available too. Their fried rice is just amazing!! No aircon, but a working fan. It does get cooling at night (personally for me), no TV, limited internet connection, no water heater (not complaining as a cooling shower is great after a hot day in the park). Bring your books, download movies if you need, or simply chit chat with others if they're around! Do get comfortable with the geckos though!

Dina and Robert welcomed us in with warmth and kindness and made us feel very comfortable during our stay! They went above and beyond to help us with our experience at the national park by answering questions - Robert has lots of knowledge - and by being friendly faces. They also organize private tours with skilled tour guides for those travelling in a small group. Breakfast was yummy and the dinners that Dina made when we requested them were delicious. The location of the homestay is great, a short walk to the entrance of the park. The room I booked was clean and comfortable with a fan and private bathroom. I couldn’t recommend staying here enough! It is very affordable and an invaluable experience :)

Had the most beautiful stay at Diana homestay in mulu! Diana was a wonderful host who cooks the most amazing and authentic local food. The location of this homestay is the best part about it. It's a 2 minute walk from the park entrance while still giving you the feel of being outside of the park. They kept power on the whole time so we could still charge things throughout the day and keep the fans on all night. At nights the rooms cooled down and were comfortable. The bathrooms were shared but we were the only people here so it felt private.
