Dina and Robert are amazing hosts. They do their best to make you feel welcome and Dina is a great cook.
Highly recommend eating here instead of any of the restaurants.
Staying here really gives you the local amazing experience. It's not luxury but you see how the people live and how friendly they are.

Lovely hosts, great food. Transport to and from Mulu was easy to organise with Diana. Right by the river. Bonus pets (dogs and cats). Diana did some washing for me and it smelt AMAZING, she had even taken the time to iron and neatly fold all the items. Diana and her family are lovely to chat to and will go above and beyond to ensure all your needs are met!

Lovely stay at AA Homestay where you definitely feel like home!
The family owners are just the sweetest people on Earth, super helpful and welcoming. They help you out with any request and prepare for you any kind of meal for a very affordable price.
Rooms are basic but clean and the place is definitely worth for its price. Strategic location just outside the park (5mins walking)
Beautiful, simple place in Mulu. The hosts are wonderful people and are very helpful. Highly recommended.
Unfortunately we booked our tours directly with the Mulu Park and found very large groups and guides who didn't explain much. We didn't realize that the Mulu Village hosts also offer the tours, and these would have been much better. I recommend clarifying this in the description by writing something like "we offer our own tours of the national park (with small groups and informatics guides).
We were staying at Mulu village with James and Brenda and it was an unique experience! They are so heartwarming and provide you with everything you need to escape reality for some days! We can highly recommend to stay with them! We will never forget the time in Mulu! Thank you so much!
James and Brenda were fantastic hosts. We had a great stay, they organised tours through the caves and to a local village and waterfall which we thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely recommend staying here for an authentic experience of Mulu.
This is a nice and simple home in a village setting. Quiet and close to narure - and for someone who like the sounds of birds and animals at night, it is a great place. The host Albert and his two daughter are nice and helpful.
James and Brenda are super friendly. They tell us stories about Mulu and the history as well. James drives us around Mulu and Brenda is a superb tour guide.
And the environment in Mulu Village homestay is amazing and lively with other tenants.
Such a great experience staying at Mulu Village. Brenda and James are great hosts, they have a deep connection and much knowledge about the National Park.
Expect an authentic experience, you don’t always have the same luxuries as at home. But it’s definitely a great place to stay in the jungle.
It is an incredibly beautiful place. James and Brenda are super warm, always approachable and have a smile on their faces at all times. They make this place special. The national park is a bit away from the accommodation, but James takes you and picks you up. I had a great time at Mulu Village.
Very beautiful lodge, it is in the jungle near the river. Some boat excursion start from the river in front of the village. The owners are very kind and useful.
We stayed at Mulu Village for three days. The accommodation is exceptional value for money, friendly host James is happy to help organise trips and give you lifts to the park gate for a nominal fee
- nothing was ever too much trouble! Our cave tours with guide Larry were amazing. Accommodation is basic but fine - electricity between 6pm and 12am ish only. The shower isn't hot but was powerful and refreshing after long sweaty days in the park.
