The place was very private, perfectly sized for a couple, amenities were perfect, we had plenty of options in cooking, shower was nice and spacious. The air conditioner was very pleasant with many options, and the rest of the apartment was pleasant. The host was polite and quick to answer any questions.

I wanted to rent a comfortable villa with a private pool, outdoor space and a bbq. Villa Xini was completely perfect for my needs. The pool is glorious to dive into after warming up in the sun, but the lights also made it great for a magical swim after it got dark. The bbq was a good size - there were only 2 of us but it would easily be large enough to cook for 6 people. The garden is beautiful, with pomegranate and olive trees - it’s a wonderful place to spend the day on a sun lounger reading. The bedrooms and most of the inside spaces are built of stone and give a really charming feel. The beds were really comfortable and there was plenty of storage. The bathroom and kitchen, if I’m being critical, are a bit dated, but we’re a good size, have everything you could need and were spotlessly clean. The owner, Ted, was really friendly and was easily contactable if we needed anything. The villa also has bikes at a reasonable price which Ted bought over and were really great for seeing some of Gozo. There are plenty of shops in walking distance with everything you could need (including a Lidl if you can’t get something in one of the smaller shops) and Victoria (which is absolutely lovely) is only 25 mins or so on foot. All in all, if you want to rent a comfortable place with a beautiful garden and spend most of your time outside, Villa Xini is definitely for you. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely book again if I’m ever back in Gozo.

Air conditioning and electric sockets in general never worked (including the fridge). The “maintenance team” came after two days (and the weather was hot so we were sweating all the time) and solved nothing. Still no AC, no electricity, no fridge till the end of our stay. The manager answered we were “overpowering “ the system… we just tried to charge our phone!
