An incredible little hotel perfect for a safari trip! Welcoming staff, very clean, gorgeous rooms, comfy beds, and the staff helped us to secure a jeep driver for our safari trip the next day. Safari is a must if staying here, we got to see a heard of 120 elephants in the wild which was amazing! We got woke up the next day with a fright as monkeys ran across the roof, but once we realized it was monkeys and not an intruder we thought it was funny and a story to tell! We woke up and then spotted peacocks roaming around the ground on route to breakfast. Food was amazing here, very fresh, and generous portions. Would certainly recommend!

Our stay at Visu Villa was the highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka. Ruwan, the host, was incredibly welcoming and genuine, offering excellent recommendations for places to visit at reasonable prices. We spent three nights at this charming, family-run oasis located about a kilometer outside of Habarana. Ruwan made us feel right at home and seamlessly organized activities for us throughout our stay.
We participated in almost all the activities he suggested, such as going on a safari, watching the sunset from a rock near Sigiriya Rock, and even had the opportunity to drive the jeep ourselves. Ruwan also gave us a personal tour around town, sharing fascinating insights into the history and culture of Habarana and Sri Lanka. He arranged a private show just for the two of us, where his friend performed some wonderful songs.
The food was incredibly tasty and authentically spicy, and the hotel was clean and beautiful, featuring a lovely pool and comfortable rooms. We had a wonderful stay at New Star Home Stay in Habarana! We loved the peaceful location of Oleena home stay and the beautiful garden and surroundings. The room was large with good aircon and Wi-Fi was excellent. It was the best place in our 2 weeks holidays in Sri Lanka. Great owners, Wanda and Leo, great place in green nature, many interesting places to visit max 1 hour from Habarana. The best breakfasts we had there. We ate every evening dinners there and that was the best curry dishes we had during holidays. Swimming pool, great ajurweda massages in neighbour. Wanda and Leo helped us to arrange everything and we spent together nice evenings! Highly recommend!

Great area to start our Sri Lanka trip.
We came in with a very warm welcome. People help with everything. Besides it’s a very pleasant villa with great service, good food and a nice pool to cool down. Best was that the owner took us along in his jeep to show the surrounding!
Our stay in the tree house was lovely. Our host Ruwan was so helpful with organising any excursion or transport we required. Even included us in a family celebration at a retirement village he has supported for 22 years. His main staff person, Isuru, looked after us exceptionally. And Irosh, the safari guide from our villa, gave us a wonderful tour of Habarana Eco Park- we were lucky enough to see several elephants. And Anthony was always happy to take us anywhere we wanted to go. Fond memories of Habarana.
The place was surrounded by the jungle. The atmosphere was calm and quiet. The chalet and the main buildings were built to give an authentic Sri Lankan village home feeling. The prices were very low.
We were very happy to stay in Swan Lake, it's a great place, very nice garden, the rooms are nice, clean and spacious. Food is great! It's a bit outside of Habarana, but you can easily walk to the village (5 - 10 min) and to the lake nearby. The host is super nice and very accomodating.
Everything about this hotel was fantastic. it had everything to make our stay so comfortable. we wanted to stay fir longer. The staff were wonderful, nothing was a bother. Whatever we needed it was provided straight away. many thanks A4 Villa, we would highly recommend this property

You can find very nice people working at visu villa. They are helpful, very honest, and flexible with our needs. As first-time visitors to the area, they gave as good advice and drove us for a fair price to the different points of interest around.
