Really nice and clean Hostel. I would say Hotel instead of Hostel actually when you wouldn’t take the shared bathroom in mind. Everything was clean, nice and comfortable! Easy communication with the Host and smooth check-in. Beds were also very comfortable and the property provides all the amenities that you need. Even rental bikes! If all hostels would be like this (and all guests would work together to keep everything clean) I wouldn’t mind staying in Hostels more often.

Atashika is a gem - a beautiful beach cove surrounded by mountains, peaceful, hardly a soul on the beach, especially at the end of the day. We spent a glorious day of relaxation here, and could easily have spent more. The guest house is a fantastic and comfortable space that has been cleverly designed, and the hosts are so kind and generous and eager to help. It is inspiring to see their entrepreneurial spirit and ecological mindset (the house was renovated with second hand materials, for example). The whole experience was magical and we wished we had more time. There is so much to discover in Wakayama, and this could be a good base. Hope we can come back someday.
