Beautiful quiet location by the lake easy to get to from Morioka. Very clean well maintained facilities including several beautiful onsens. The staff was kind and accommodating despite my very limited Japanese language understanding. I loved the view of the lake and Mount Iwate from my room.

You will get the best experience but be prepared with the Japanese etiquette. English is available but basic Japanese can make life easier. The Onsen water is unique and has a distinctive smell. It is very big with indoor and beautiful outdoor area.

It is a very convenient that there’s indoor spring pool. The food was very good, we stayed 2 nights, and they changed the menu. I even think they upgraded. I love traditional spring hotel. The service is person to person feel very warm.
