We thought the location was excellent. It was a short walk to the bamboo forrest, but also a quick trip into the city by train. It also has a supermarket next door and a nice restaurant within walking distance. A washing machine was handy in the middle of our trip. Luggage service delivery is also just a short distance away. Spacious area to sit around main table.

We had a room on ground floor facing the river so the view was very nice from the little garden. The lady who serviced our room is very nice, speaks good amount of English and tried to explain things.

The staff could not be more helpful and assisted with luggage and made sure stay was comfortable. The location is one that is in a very peaceful area where there was a lovely easy walk by the river. Dinner was extremely well presented and tasted as good as it looked. The entertainment by the Maikos was also very elegant and enjoyable.

Despite not eating fish, the breakfast was delicious and they were very kind in providing accommodations for us. They were extremely kind and helpful. Our room and the area were both gorgeous. They offered rides to and from the station nearby, which was incredibly helpful with our luggage. The public baths were amazing after walking around in the heat all day. The nearby shrine was a wonderful experience and the river was so lovely.

Host Mrs Nakamura was welcoming and the location was good for getting to Arashiyama.
Ryokan had a good design and the bath was nice. We were given mikan and she made us coffee for breakfast. She made us feel very welcome.

The house was excellent with many facilities, the onsen was bigger than the picture and the house felt really cosy. The Zen garden and tatami dining was excellent.
