It's a good hostel for solo female travellers. It's clean and comfortable and I felt super safe for a 2 days stay. You share a room with 3 other persons but there is also a nice living room, kitchen and rooftop. The location is close to tourist attractions and Kumamoto station.
The cleanliness of the whole hostel was a real plus!

The host really made this experience for us, from hand-drawn maps to offering free snacks and drinks. The location is rather quiet as well. You can really bond with other guests thanks to the bonfire at night.
If you're looking for a place to stay when you're new to Aso, I would highly recommend meeting Yoshi-san at Asobi Gokoro!

we do really like the atmosphere of the old house. the owner explained and told us so much about the house and the history of it. the dinner 🍽 was nice and enough for all of us. the view from the rooms is amazing, we really had a good time in Minami Aso. everything is clean. the speakers are nice, we had karaoke time. we had kakikori also. we parked 2 cars, we stopped our cars in front of the main entrance because it was raining on the day, owner asked us to park the car closer and easy to take out our luggages. our
stay was perfect, we will stay there again next time, 1 night is not enough.
