We enjoyed our stay at this property. We had the smaller unit with beds for up to five people (there were only four of us). The house was clean and new. Comfortable beds, nice bathroom with washer (although I hope the host provides the laundry detergent for future guests and the laundry drying rack:) The location is great, very walkable to sightseeing and the parking is right at the front door. I highly recommend this house and hope to come back soon!

This is the most comfortable sleep I had the entire time I was in Japan and I slept in many different places. It was nice being able to do our laundry. There's a full kitchen but we didn't use it. The bathroom had space for me to do my hair and makeup and even had a magnifying mirror. The host was very nice and welcoming. There was a book of instructions for all the appliances and electronics and the host even sent a list of preferred restaurants and other things nearby.

It was a beautiful Japanese house with an amazing host Mr. Hitty, who fascinated us with his ancestral tales of samurais in the Edo era. We would have stayed a few more nights had we had time. You can't go wrong with Kanazawa Machiya Kenroku, if you are men and women of culture.
