This SPA hotel is awesome. We loved the place, our room and the onsen. The staff was amazing, very very kind and helpful. They offered us a free shuttle service to the train station and they kindly provided us with an excellent vegetarian/vegan dinner and breakfast. Really nice place for relaxing and having a break. We loved everything.

You can book shuttle from JR station. The location is perfect in the historical area. Although it’s aged for the facility, we have a good experience in onsen pool and Karaoke.

We wanted an authentic Japanese experience during our first trip to Japan and found Yamashiro Onsen, Miyabi no Yado.
From the moment of collection at the station the staff go out of their way to make you feel special.
We were the only westerners during our stay which we loved.
Yakutas, informal kimono are provided for wearing around the hotel and almost everyone wears one.
We booked the included dinner and breakfast and it was exceptional. A lot of food and a wonderful opportunity for the adventurous to try new things. The meal has really been a highlight from an already pretty awesome holiday.
We used an app called kuli kuli to translate menus and deepl for translating spoken messages to communicate with the staff. The vast majority only speak Japanese - as we are in Japan we had no issue with that and do not expect English to be spoken when we travel. That said check in was carried out in perfect English.
The gardens are quite beautiful and we highly recommend spending a night or two here to relax.
We did not explore the surrounding area or use the onsen as we have tattoos and did not have tattoo covers with us. This did not in anyway detract from our stay.
Set within 27 km of Eiheiji Temple and 31 km of Phoenix Plaza in Kaga, Shirasagiyu Tawaraya provides accommodation with seating area. This 3-star ryokan offers a lift and free shuttle service.

Our stay here was incredible. We had never been to Japan before, and the staff were so friendly and wlecoming we ended up extending our stay here by four days! The food was amazing - multi course meals for breakfast and dinner that were never the same two days in a row. The room was large and had everything we needed, including yakuta, slippers, tea and a beautiful view of the river. The onsite onsens are huge and overlook the river, and we were comfortable going there despite never having been to one before. There is lots to explore in the town within walking distance - shops, public baths, river walks, shrines and the laquerware museum.
The staff are wonderful and we were well cared for. I hope we can go back one day.

The onsen was amazing such a great experience. The room was huge and it was our first experience in a Japanese style hotel and it was great. The staff were really nice but it was difficult because we only spoke a very small amount of Japanese. if you eat fish, the traditional Japanese dinner was amazing!

The staff is extremely friendly and pleasant. The onsen/hot baths are very nice. The lobby area is nice and modern too. Location is pretty good if you need to fly out of Komatsu airport.
