This was my first stop in Tuscany, sorta random. WOWOW. I was impressed with the tour the host provided of the facility and my room. She also gave me directions to a restaurant in the city plus suggested a hillside drive for photos the following morning which turned out to be spectacular. This is a one of a kind property with a family history which is worth the visit. I also want to say thanks to the host for all her assistance and information... she made my stay very enjoyable. A sorry I had to leave so early in the morning!!!! On the river, short walk to the city. Just great.

The houses were from the Medieval times. They were restored, traditionally decorated and the objects in the rooms were fascinating. Staying in such a historic place was a precious experience. Villa Spino is an amazing place, in an accessible place in the mountains, near Arezzo, above Capolona. The owner of the house is an amazing woman, a great hostess, The breakfast in the house is varied and delicious. The cherry on the cake is the amazing garden with beautiful plants and flowers, as well as the kind and playful dog Gioto. Words are not enough to describe this experience. It was hard to leave, but I would definitely return to Villa Spino.
