I was a little worried because it seems like it is in the middle of nowhere. However I was so surprised by how lovely and quaint the property and accommodations were! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our greatest surprise was the restaurant. We popped in for a quick snack & a bottle of wine between lunch and dinner and were blown away by the food. My favorite was the Sformatino di ricotta, fiori di zucca, it was excellent!!

Marina the host is incredibly welcoming and kind, the farmhouse has been beautifully renovated, the room was very clean and the breakfast was very tasty with regional cheeses, yogurts and meats. It was a very relaxing stay and the location was perfect.

This historic 16th century residence has been beautifully restored and is situated on a hilltop with stunning views of the hills and valleys around Urbino. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, and we appreciated his many insights about the area. Delicious breakfasts were served with homemade jam and other specialties. Our room was spacious, with hand painted murals, comfortable bed, and a well-designed bathroom that integrated the modern and the historic. The two-foot-thick stone walls kept the room cool even in the heat of summer! Beautiful and relaxing gardens overlooking olive groves. The historic hill town of Urbino is conveniently located only 10 minutes away.

The accommodation at Il Poggetto was perfect and the staff was very nice, friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was typical Italian and they provided a good variety of typical dishes. The Spa was very nice to visit and very relaxing. Also, our kids had a wonderful time!
