This is a very travellers friendly hotel. It's right by the lake and has a lovely green garden full of palm trees and other greenery. Hammocks between the trees and also a canoe. All the rooms have a private terrace with table and chairs. Large and spotless clean room with an excellent bathroom. Friendly English speaking staff. Excellent WiFi, coffee and tea sold by the pot, and cold ones in the fridge. Can't get much better than that. They arrange tours to Monroe Island as well. The hotel is far from town, but you can get there with a local bus for just 10 RP, either from the main road just up from the bus station, or from the school junction where you can jump off your incoming bus if you are coming from the north. Best place to stay as the town centre has completely lost all its travellers atmosphere.

The property is a gem and a bit quirky, which suited us well. The rooftop bar was a nice surprise but the in house elevator was the icing on the cake. The rooms were furnished luxuriously. Our family had a wonderful time by the pool and garden

Wind & Waves is a charming place. I am overwhelmed by the serenity and calmness that W&W offers. The enchanting beauty of the backwaters and the cool breeze was delightful. The vivid colours of the setting sun in the waters was just amazing and the evening was just great! I had such a lovely time at the homestay! The accommodation itself is of a high standard. The provided food was all incredible ! (Lunch portions are massive) I was able to do a sunrise boat trip, was shown around the island and also did kayaking on Munroe Island. As other reviews mention it is literally an island that is only reachable by boat so just be mindful of any amenities you may need to buy beforehand. You can always ask to be taken to Munroe Island otherwise. The host is very hospitable and honestly it was so nice to have downtime.

While booking they accept your special request for arrival and departure, but after your arrival to the property they will demand you more money for little bit early arrival and late departure. In advance they will take full amount of our stay period. Rooms are not cleaned full of with big size ants. No bed sheets and pillow cover provided. No lock for rest room. So many problems. Not recommend.
