This is our second year staying here for the ploughing championships, we booked it straight away last year , even tho we could have got closer , we loved staying in this wee spot, its clean , there’s lovely pubs to eat in , and there is a bar attached to this accommodation, staff are very friendly and helpful, and you hear nothing in the room from the pub . Absolutely loved staying here. We will be back again

It was a lovely spot - a rural area near a town - but it was also very handy to see areas around Dublin. There was a back road to Blessington and Glendalough. It was close to the M7/8. On the second evening I was driving back from Greystones and was able to avoid heavy traffic on the M50 system by shifting to the M11 and using that back road to get to the property. It was very comfortable room, nice facilities and excellent breakfasts. The owner was very nice.

For us the location was key. We had researched the local cafe Hollywood Cafe & the local Pub / Restaurant & both of these were highly recommend. Also both within walking distance of property. The village although very small was busy due to popularity of local cafe & restaurant. Despite how busy it was it was still a very quiet location. If you're a hiker then this would also be a good base. For us we wanted to be close to Dublin but not too close (approx 45 mins by car). For the west coast & south west areas of Ireland you would be looking at a max of 3 hours driving depending on where you wished to visit. Accommodation consisted of 2 floors & could sleep 4, Kitchen basic but enough for what we needed. The host readily available if needed as they lived in a property on same site. Plenty of storage for clothes / kit etc. For most days were out visiting / touring. Would happily recommend this cottage to family & friends. Will probably return for another stay.
Olive was a great host, very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was in a great central location for us visiting Glendalough, Cork and the National Stud. It was also surrounded by lots of little towns and villages with plenty places to have dinner.
It is 15mins from Kildare Village, so quite close to Tesco, eateries etc. Proactive and polite host, requested an ETA and was going to be there at that time anyway.
Very friendly owner. stayed in room at front with balcony which was ample for wife and I and 15year old daughter. for price paid an absolute bargain as a stop off to Kildare village.
Beautiful gardens and excellent location for some retail therapy at Kildare Village. Room was one of the nicest I’ve stayed at. Food was delicious and the staff were helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.
