Fabienne and Roland were very helpful with our enforced late arrival time, leaving the accommodation open pending our arrival (01.00!). The instructions for gaining entry were clear, and our breakfast items were waiting for us. We found the beds were very comfortable, and water was always hot for showering and dishwashing. For those who are looking for a place in the country, this may be your bag; nevertheless, it is a conveniently short run to the main road (N71). Overall we feel that the price we paid was reasonable, particularly as we had the benefit of two separate rooms, but it has to be said that the property is in need of a re-furb, particularly as regards the shower arrangement. It pains us to be critical, with such pleasant hosts as Fabienne and Roland, but future guests need to be aware of the shortcomings as outlined below.

Good welcome, was able to store my bicycle safely overnight. Room had very comfortable bed and a useful table in the corner. Shower worked well. Breakfast was well cooked and there was ample tea and toast.

The location is perfect, in the heart of the village, right across from Glandore pier. The apartment is large, spotlessly clean and comfortable, with two bathrooms, baths and showers in both, and plenty of space. A wonderful base in the heart of the village. We really appreciated the kind and unexpected touches such as a bottle of wine and a bowl of chocolates to welcome us, thoughtful gestures from our host, Ian.
The house was beautifully located in the peaceful countryside. Marcella and family were so lovely and helpful and went above and beyond to help us with our car troubles.
There were lots of beautiful places to visit, big, clean beaches, gorgeous walk above Lough Hyne, interesting museums in Skibereen and Clonakilty. One highlight was the pretty village of Glandore nearby where we had the best ever Seafood chowder at Hayes Bar and kitchen.
We liked everything about ballyroe. Its a little piece of heaven. The wooden campers are so comfortable and modern. Roland and fabienne are so welcoming. They were very kind to our daughter Anna and let her feed their chickens and play with their lovely dog Inca. The homemade breakfast hamper is a must with their own homemade jams and breads, just delicious. Leap is only a 5 minute drive and its a lovely vibrant village with glandore and roscarberry also super close. We cant wait to come back.
Location close to the waterfront next to car park. A couple of good restaurants/pubs in this small village, beach 15 mins drive away. Five people sleeps easily.
You cannot beat the location of this apartment. Right on the seafront by the harbour in Glandore. What a beautiful village, with really lovely pubs and restaurants, all within short walking distance. The locals are so friendly and helpful. Apartment is clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We would definitely stay again.
We were met in arrival by the lovely hosts who were very friendly and gave us good recommendations for things to do during our stay. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment and it was so cosy! There’s a lovely big balcony/terrace over looking the beautiful gardens. The well appointed kitchen has everything we needed for our stay. The property is in a beautiful tranquil country location but it’s only a short drive to the village of Leap where there are plenty restaurants and bars. Only a short drive to the beach too
We loved the apartment. It had absolutely everything, in a clean and bright space. It's a really peaceful, rural location, but only a short distance from Leap Village, and not too far from Glandore. We loved the attention to detail - the decor, the brightness, the mod-cons, the tea and coffee (supplies), the cleanliness. It felt really homely. We only wish we had more time.
