What an amazing Gem! Our hosts were absolutely brilliant. We made a very late last-minute booking, and she accommodated us - following up throughout our journey and stay to ensure all our needs were met. The glamping tent had everything one needs and more! It was beautifully decorated, cozy, and comfy. The breakfast room was absolutely fantastic. Every care was given in providing the weary traveller with nourishment and comfort. The location is brilliant - wish we had more time to explore but we will definitely be back. An amazing place to stay with friendly attentive hosts: highly recommended!

Oak Lodge, hotel in Dromineer

Located just 24 km from Birr Castle, Oak Lodge provides accommodation in Portumna with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as luggage storage space.

The owner was in hospital and full breakfast had been discontinued for almost a month by the time we arrived. At least there was a variety of things provided to make one's own breakfast, but again it failed our expectations and no adjustment was made to the cost.

Bealkelly Country House, hotel in Dromineer

Bealkelly Country House is situated in Ogonnelloe, 8 km from Killaloe, 27 km from Limerick and 33 km from Ennis.

Amazing beautiful house and garden. Felt like staying in a "manor" house (almost a palace) but at the same time so comfortable and cosy. The décor is lovely and it incorporates modern with traditional. It's the perfect place to escape from the city stress, surrounded by nature. Very short drive to get dinner. Breakfast was amazing and Anita was so nice and welcoming.

Clare was a wonderful host who made us feel very welcome. We were friends travelling to a wedding at the Lakeside Hotel and this accommodation was great value for money and only an 8-10 minute stroll from the hotel. Highly recommend.

Bernie gave us a lovely warm welcome and showed us to our room, with its spectacular view out over to the lough. We were also blown away by how much thought has gone into providing a wide range of food and drink options and other amenities. Fab food and atmosphere at the village pub too.

We had a really nice stay in Dromineer. It's a really nice B&B with great facilities in room. The owner is really welcoming and helpful, and went the extra mile to make sure everything is great in the room. Dromineer is a lovely village, though quite small. There is an excellent pub two doors away, and we went Kayaking on the lake.
