Location was ideal to visit derrynane beach and derrynane house short spin in the car. Great location to tour surrounding areas such as waterville , sneem, kenmare.. lovely restaurant and pub in the village The Blind Piper which was less than a 5 min walk from the house. The food was fantastic. Only there for two nights so didnt get time to visit all attractions. House was spacious especially kitchen and sitting room. Lovely house and was perfect for us on our short stay.

Stunning location, beautiful views, nice and cosy cottage with a fireplace to sit by in the evenings with a glass of wine. I'd say it's a wonderful place for a romantic getaway or a family holiday, it really does suit all. It's a great base for viewing county Kerry loads of things to do near by, walking trails, boat trips to skellig michael, pottery and art galleries, little villages with local food and drink. The list goes on. The host John was very accommodating and welcoming, if you need anything or have a query he's very quick to respond to messages and help where he can. I would definitely recommend staying here, lovely place.

In case you are in doubt (no photos) there is indeed a (small) toilet and shower in the boat, and more in the garden. Breakfast options are worth every penny, go for the fresh fish (trout or salmon) if you like. Dinner is not available every day (check beforehand), but was also excellent.
