Ngaso Dalem is decent place to spend night in Wonosobo.
The receptionist and the owner is very friendly and understanding and tries their best to accommodate our needs.
Being at Ngaso Dalem felt like being at home, I love the atmosphere there waking up in the morning, and having breakfast at the terrace in front.
The room is huge for its price, it doesn't feel cramped at all sharing it with 3 other friends, the breakfast is good too.
This place is just few mins walk to Wonosobo Alun-Alun, just in case you'd like to chill outside especially in the morning or afternoon.
Will return to this place again when visiting Wonosobo next time

The owner speaks English and was responsive over WhatsApp. She helped arrange the private car to/from Yogyakarta at a price slightly better than what was offered in Yogyakarta.

There was Indonesian breakfast included in the room price. It was fried rice with chicken/fish - nothing amazing but it was filling and convenient, given that there are no nice cafes in the village.
You can use the tea-making facilities in the living room.
You can walk to Arjuna temple, also there's a hiking trail up Mount Prau which starts not that far from the homestay.

Fabulous location with stunning view to the vulcano and the lake below. Great layout so despite the cold night, the space in front of the room is sheltered so it's possible to sit outside at night. And then walk up the stairs in the morning to be blown away by the view and enjoy breakfast served same place - absolute fantastic. A very nice detail was the tasty tea and snack being served to the room right after check-in. Very good dinner which was even better thanks to wonderful soft bossanova music. I very much liked my cosy room which had window in direction of the sunrise. Staff was very pleasant. One of the most unique places I've ever stayed - loved it!

We like the sunrise view from the hotel balcony in front of the room. We like the view of the village in the early morning from the balcony. It will be better if the hotel could provide early hot tea or coffee to enjoy the moment.
