Beautifully furnished, spacious apartment with large balcony in a quiet, rural setting only a 6 minute drive from nearest Plitvice Lakes entrance. Our hosts, Živan & Jasna, we’re unfortunately unable to meet us as they were called away on family business but they left us fabulous instructions about the place and even called a local restaurant to reserve a table for us the night we arrived. Živan also kindly contacted us via What’s App to tell us the best way of getting into the park and the how to get to the special viewpoints along the way, and left maps for us to follow. The kitchen is wonderfully equipped for cooking there is you wish and we thoroughly enjoyed the bottle of local white wine they had kindly left for us in the fridge! Absolutely recommend staying here if you are visiting the Plitvice Lakes area.

Excellent location for visiting Plitvice lakes & waterfalls. To avoid the crowds we got a 2-day ticket & visited late afternoon & early morning with an overnight stay here in between. Hosts are delightful & helpful. Our room was spacious & pristine with a luxury showroom. Delicious breakfast with lots of variety & eggs cooked to order if required. Located in the Mukinje village, a 15 minute walk to Gate 2 of the national park. Vehicle parking is free, supermarket and a park-run pizzeria within walking distance. Great location, evening was very quiet.
The exterior of the building is dated, but once you get in the apartment, everything is updated. Host was kind and accommodating.

We had a great stay at Villa Mukinja! The property had a traditional B&B charm, with nice and modern renovated rooms. The hosts were great. I would say that this would be an ideal place to stay for families, as they did have young children, (well-behaved). There was a little swing, soccer nets, and plenty of space for kids to play.

The personnel extremly friendly and willing to help. I totally recommend entrance 3, 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
Excellent newly build house with all commodities like airco located at a small village with direct access to entrance nr 3 which allows you to avoid the busy parkings 1 and 2.
It is very peaceful, quiet and secluded from the main villages and streets, and seemingly very traditional for a vacation home, had one of my best times of relaxation from the noise and the crowd of big cities. 😀
