The hostess Mama Maria was so sweet...she was very kind and loved our children 😁. She even brought us some Greek doughnut type treats that were delicious! It is a beautiful, well-appointed spot on the edge of town overlooking the water. Tris Ekklisies is a lovely secluded place on the South Coast. We were there in mid-April and saw one other person on the beach the two days that we were there. It's a bit of an adventure to get there but driving over the mountain down the windy road and taking in the village's dramatic location was part of the fun (the road is fully paved).

House Marina is located in a quiet, a bit remote little village. The shady terrace has a nice view of the sea. The rooms are spacious, airy, clean. The owners are very friendly, we were greeted with raki and fresh melon! There is a nice beach and an excellent taverna (Marinela) 50 metres from the house. We had a wonderful time!

This was by far our most pleasant experience with renting a holiday home. The host is an incredibly generous, kind, and helpful person who really went above and beyond to ensure our stay was most enjoyable. She made sure we had everything we needed and we are so very grateful for her amazing hospitality and genuine kindness! The whole experience exceeded our expectations. The apartment, which is tasteful and spacious (with high ceilings), had everything we needed and actually looked even better in reality than on photos. The well equipped open-plan kitchen was perfect for cooking (plenty of cookware/crockery/utensils) and we really enjoyed having our family meals on the balcony overlooking the mountain massif as well as the sea. There's a grocery shop with a butcher (!) just around the corner and a few nice taverns by the sea. The sea, which is just meters away, had crystal clear water and the beaches were absolutely amazing with very few people (at times it felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves). We really had a special time there. We felt that we could experience authentic Cretan hospitality in this village and felt very welcome throughout our 8 day stay.

Fantastic location - real privacy, only nature around. A lot of scenic walking trails around, starry night sky, sheep and goats, birds and visiting shy cats (get some cat food ready :). House is a little refuge in nature, without foregoing any of life's luxuries. Owner is very heplful, passionate about this place (still planning improvements to come) and simply a very nice person. Also he provided extra things we asked for, brought family made olive oil, vegetables and delicious jams as a gift. Road is good enough for a small car. Electricity and wifi working well. If you visit during cool weather you can still admire views during meals throug big window seating comfortably and warm inside. New toilet and shower in a seperate part od the house; also with a window with a view (warm water: sun heated).

The location is perfect. it is not right on the first line but 1 min from the beach and you can see the sea from the window and the balcony. the location allows you to enjoy the sea view and not suffer from direct sun rays that can be annoying in this region. perfect hospitality and good neighborhood. July is a bit windy in this cost, but the nature is awesome. strongly recommend for those visitors who looks for "plug out" rest.
