The whole place is immaculate and is so well positioned by the beach. Staff are friendly and helpful. It was late September so the pool area was always so quiet. Good restaurants near by. 80 euro in a taxi from chania airport but busses do run once you get your head around the timetable.

We recently stayed at Kaliviani Traditional Hotel and were thoroughly impressed. The location is perfect, offering easy access to Balos beach while providing a peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast was a standout, with a diverse menu that catered to all tastes and exceptional service. Additionally, the cleanliness throughout the hotel was top-notch, making for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The view from our room was incredible offering sea views which was good as we found ourselves relaxing on the balcony every night admiring the view. The hotel is also very close to the beautiful beach Falassarna.
Ioannis was an exceptional host and went above and beyond to make sure our stay at Kaliviani was exceptional and smooth.
I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a great experience and most importantly amazing views! We will definitely be staying there again whenever we’re back in Crete. Best hotel in Crete we stayed in by far and we stayed at 5 different hotels including Kaliviani.

We were welcomed by Katarina with smiles and hospitality, she let us check in early, gave so many advices and where to go around, was searching online the weather and wind situation on different beaches to guide us on where to go.

We got a small studio flat in a nice building in halfway beside the serpentine down to Falassarna.
Fortunately we had a terrace with stunning view to the see. The flat was freshly cleaned every day.
It took only 10 minutes going down to the see by car. This place is not for walkers, definitely needs a car.

I have travelled to almost every corner of the world, staying in some of the best rated hotels in the best rated locations - and I can honestly say this is one of the best accommodations I have stayed in. Mostly because it undersells itself and over delivers on every front. The location for Falasarna is unbearable (even though other hotels with worse positions will try and claim the title). But really what makes this such a special place is the host!! Not only is she welcoming, attentive and such a beautiful representation of great Greek hospitality but she will go out of her way to make you feel like you’re staying at a home not just a hotel/accomodation provider. If I could rate these apartments 100 stars I would, I will definitely be back and am so grateful I stumbled across this underrated little gem of a place and host. Thank you sooo much x and I haven’t even got to how magical and breath taking the view is from the apartment balcony …

Excellent location within the village, clean and comfortable stay. The host was great and always available to help over the phone when we needed helps or tips.
This was an amazing and cosy house in a nice village very close to beautiful beaches and nature walks. We enjoyed the traditional architecture and peaceful area.
Equipment in the house comprised everything we needed. We definitely recommend it.
The house is a wonderful position for visiting Elafonisi beach and Balos beach. Livia gave us a lot of information about the best way to get to them. The house is very clean, equipped with everything. Livia is a kind and really nice person. There are beautiful taverns in the village, and the most beautiful Falasarna beach is also nearby.
Really nice stay in Kaliviani, a small village perfect to reach Balos beach (a few minutes by car before The beginning of the unpaved Road). Ioannis is a great host, very kind, and the room is comfortable. Good restaurants are extremely close to the house.
