Lovely complex, perfectly situated at the end of the bay.
We had planned to stay longer in IOS but the ferry time table upset the plans.
We chose Petra as it was out of the main town and quieter. It had lovely views of the bay / beach. It had a restaurant close by that could provide breakfast and nice meals. Although we only stayed for one night we were met off the ferry and given a lift back. We had no transport but he main port with lots of restaurants is only a short 10 minute walk, along the beach if you chose! The host Lisa was lovely and is passionate about providing a service to her customers and the sustainability of the islands natural habitat.
The Cycladic-style Island House is situated only 250 metres from Mylopotas beach in Ios. The hotel offers self-catering accommodation with free Wi-Fi and free parking facilities.

We were met from the port which was a bonus and greeted with a welcome drink when we arrived. The whole check in process was wonderful with detailed explanations of restaurants and the area. The breakfast was fabulous being cooked to order and eating with a lovely view of the pool. The hospitality from the family was above and beyond what we expected and made our stay even better. We can’t wait to go back!

Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We only planned to stay for one night but stayed three. Room cleaned everyday, pool bar staff friendly and towels provided. Bus stop outside reception, 10 minute walk from port.

The place is very nicely refurbished, to high standards throughout. Very quiet location and comfortable beds, all details are of good quality, from shower to lights, etc. We had a really pleasant stay.

My stay at the blue sky was wonderful! Maria met me at the ferry port and explained everything and gave me some great advice on what to do during my stay. She also upgraded my room for free. The pool is great for relaxing, and the breakfast was great too both times I had it :)
I would definitely stay here again, Maria is such a warm host and the rest of the hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. She also gave me a ride back to the port to get my return ferry. The location is also brilliant, a 7 minute walk into town and a 15 minute walk to the beach, it's a steep uphill walk back up but I was glad to work off all the Greek food I'd eaten.

it’s run by such a lovely couple - they were so attentive, kind and would just help us at any chance they could re to and from the port transport etc. the location was amazing, literally 3 minute walk to everything and a grocery store right outside. it was also super clean and the sheets, towels etc would be replaced each day. would definitely recommend
