We have stayed before in the hotel's rooms but this time we were in the holiday home which worked really well for us. It was very well equipped and very comfortable with a log burner to light when the weather got really damp. The weather stopped us from using the garden chairs but we could see that it would be lovely to sit out on the terrace if the sun shone.
The location is lovely, particularly if you have a dog with you as there is a good walk into the woods from the doorstep. Hundreds of pheasants around at this time of year!

This is a stunning property tastefully converted and furnished. The farm is in a quiet location on the edge of a small village. A great place for a relaxing break but within easy reach of Chester & north Wales. There are lots of lovely eating places close by, a great village pub with an excellent menu within walking distance & nice coffee shops and restaurants a short drive away. We spent a really lovely weekend here.
The Carden Arms has a very good restaurant and serves quaffable real beer. It is situated in an attractive Cheshire village, albeit one that is increasingly urbanized - but aren't they all? It is a short walk to the village shop.
the pub is a very old coaching inn with superb internal historical decor and quirky rooms throughout. the breakfast is served in the old stables and was excellent and plenty of choice with homemade muesli amongst the choice of cereals and a good selection of cooked breakfasts. the bedrooms are each different and well furnished with country views from every window. the pub is quietly located in a small village. the evening meals are excellent and very popular with locals!
