You'd have to have a car. Parking on the property.Wonderful use of space and sensible furnishings -lamps, dining setting, 2-seater lounge and nest of tables (brilliant) so you can use them all around the place. Overhead light has a dimmer! An electric fan provided too. Heating. Wardrobe and drawers, lots of storage. Olive oil, milk, and coffee/tea making items supplied.The 2-door fridge has a freezer large enough for two large bottles. The room has two french doors so you can open up to the rural view. Saucepans and frypans in a range of sizes, baking trays and cutting boards. The only thing missing, and necessary to a traveller, is a microwave. We'd rather heat meals than cook them. Ask for Room 2 in Lower Lodge as it's the end room and no-one walks past your window.

I booked Mabel cottage for one of our employees working in the area. On arrival the property was extremely clear and tidy with all requirements in place. It is walking distance from shops including a Coop and excellent pubs etc. Anthony [owner] provided the key and was extremely helpful. The feed back from our employee was extremely positive and that the property is in an idyllic location on the banks of the river Meon. We often book properties for our employees when they are working in Hampshire and this is certainly one that we would book again. National Glass Partitions

Amazing place to stay, Wish we had stayed longer. Garden and house lovely. Breakfast also very nice, and hosts delightful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Otters Green. Jean, the owner, is an absolute delight! Our room was cozy and comfortable and the continental breakfast, set out in the cute Granary, was very good. The property is situated is a lovely garden with fields beyond. We were able to walk into the village of Botley in minutes, and it was a short drive to the nearby retail park, and a bit further on the motorway to Southampton, so it was an ideal place for us to stay before leaving on our cruise.
