Lovely location, surrounded by farm land. We stayed to break up a road trip from Scotland to Kent. We would stay again. Hugh is a wonderful host, very helpful and serves a delicious cooked breakfast with homemade breads and jam.

The spacious cottage is gorgeously furnished and done out. It has everything one could need during your stay, including coffee pods and milk to get you going. The surrounding area has countryside walks and very interesting history. Super convenient for the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, with appropriate animal themed decoration. We got a delivery for supper, although the kitchen had everything to prepare a meal in wanted. Very friendly and helpful owner who communicated well about our booking and during our stay.

Nice & clean, extra pillows, great restaurant, on site parking, nice little village, fully opening window & fan in the cupboard (was a very warm night!). Booking again for a getaway with my partner.
What a gem this place is. I stumbled upon it and the village when looking last minute for something near Scunthorpe. This is now one of my go-to places when travelling on the east side of the U.K. for work. Staff are great, restaurant is great and rooms are fantastic. Really good value for money as well.
We had a very nice evening meal in the restaurant and choices for continental breakfast (free in with the room rate) were very good. The location was good for our needs and car parking was very good. The White Swan is in a pleasant Village location. We felt the room rate was reasonable, especially given inclusion of continental breakfast. Cooked breakfast also available at a very reasonable cost.
The location is just off the main road in the picturesque part of the village.
Good food and attentive staff.
Very popular, so ensure you book. Choice of bar area and restaurant to eating.
