It was a lovely place to stay and we were very comfortable. The breakfast was perfect for us and as it was delivered on a tray we could relax and take our time. We would certainly stay there again. The nearby pub was very pleasant for an evening meal and was within easy walking distance.

Set in stunning, peaceful countryside. such comfortable bed. well equipped clean and tidy kitchen and bathroom, smarter than many hotels or BnB's I've stayed in.
Such a fascinating structure to be in, the dome was susceptible to the weather, but there's plenty of out door space when it's hot and plenty of indoor space and heating when it's cold. when the trees get established and create shade it will be perfect.

Room basic but totally satisfactory; excellent shower!
Breakfast cooked to order and pleasant service.
Remote and peaceful village/riverside location but perfect for all major roads in the area.
I would definitely recommend this hotel/inn,
Very friendly and comfortable stay in good location on outskirts of village close to amenities and in easy driving distance to main attractions. Lovely hosts & great breakfast. Lovely enclosed outdoor space for warm days.
Very friendly host and a very pleasant room with everything you could want. Lovely bathroom and plenty of tea and coffee. The breakfast was very nicely cooked and presented. Suitable for singles or couples. Very convenient for Nottingham, Southwell, etc. Pleasant setting on edge of village overlooking open countryside.
Staff really friendly. A lovely pub in a quiet village. Food was amazing. Beds super comfy. Everything you need really for a nice relaxing get away from the hustle & bustle.
The staff were excellent and the food was plentiful and good value.
The location was situated in a pretty village which was close to our intended location.
The location was ideal for our visit. We know Gunthorpe well and enjoy the river walks a long the Trent. Tge Unicorn is a nice, friendly village pub and the staff are always welcoming
We visited the Old Ship and stayed one night, 2 rooms, we booked to have dinner before we went to a gig across the road at the village hall. The staff are friendly and efficient, the bar area had a great atmosphere with a good choice of drinks, the food was excellent, with great service. The rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast was great. We would highly recommend and hope to return 😊
