lovely location, very peaceful, very comfortable bed, great shower. only suggestion is perhaps a microwave. as 2 village bars which serve food were very busy even mid week , would come back

The Old Tailors Cottage is situated within the small picturesque village of Long Whatton - North West Leicestershire, 5 miles from Loughborough, near East Midlands Airport a few miles from Leicester, Nottingham and Derby. A modernised 2 bedroomed cottage with a quirky twist provided a pleasant experience for a long weekend. Adjacent is a village store and farm shop supplying adequate provisions.
So much character and unique quirks yet really relaxing and so dog friendly - just perfect! It was in a lovely village, so quiet even though a part of The Falcon pub, it was separated by the car park and gardens, then in the morning I saw fields full of sheep and lambs out of the bathroom window - just idyllic.
The property is perfect setting in middle of village. Pub was very inviting and food was great for evening meal and breakfast. It was also nice to be able to bring our dog into the pub. Our room was lovely and very big. Comfy bed and room was soon warm with the heater. Large bathroom
The location was ideal for our visit , The staff were very informative and welcoming, The breakfast was excellent. (Especially the cake bars).
The Village was great with a couple of local pubs nearby with great food choices.
The rooms were very comfortable , lots of little extras, the staff in the Falcon pub were so welcoming & friendly. Evening meal and breakfasts were all hot and tasty . Two in our party are gluten free and catered for very well. The accomadation was set around a courtyard, very characterful! The surrounding village was pleasant to walk around.
