Great location. Peaceful but still central to the amenities of Staithes. Breakfast excellent, high quality and quantity. Comfy large bed. Cameron was very welcoming and offered fresh milk and filtered water. We appreciated him aiming to reduced the use of single use plastics too.

The accommodation was exceptional - We didn't want to leave. The hosts ensure the property is equipped with everything you need, including kitchen essentials and toiletries. I can't fault this stay at all. Short drive to sightsee- local bus runs half hourly if you need- short walk into the village- local pubs were friendly and a cafe did a breakfast for £4.55- lovely staff. I give a 12/10 review. Thanks Chris and Ags- loved it.

We came for some quiet time to reflect and had a super one night stay at Moonfleet. The room was beautiful, the breakfast was phenomenal! The host was friendly and kind and yes the location is in a quiet village, but we wanted peace and quiet. Nearest beach only a few minutes walk. Will be returning!
The Moonfleet is a bit of a one off - a quirky and interesting building set in a small not particularly beautiful village but with the most gorgeous beach and within very easy access to all the local sites. The key thing that makes it special is the owner who is a charming, friendly, efficient host who perfectly balances friendly service without being too over the top (which I really don't like). We really really appreciated her and all she did. And the Breakfasts were to die for!!
The guesthouse is central to the village and just a few minutes away from the Cleveland Way. You can walk to Saltburn and Staithes if you have a mind to or even Whitby if you're fit
The host is very friendly and makes wonderful muffins. A real treat. Breakfast is lovely. Rooms are clean tidy and spacious. Parking on site.
Large property with lots of period features and interesting decor. Room was comfortable and large bath was fun. Breakfast very good indeed especially including a bonus.
Only one food outlet in the village, part of a holiday facility and a bit rudimentary, but the food we had was exceptional and really good value.
Room was a great size and the bed was comfy. Our host was superb and she catered for all our needs from the fantastic home cooked breakfast to cosy evening drinks round the wood fire.
I would definitely recommend Moonfleet for anyone wanting to get away in a secluded village close to the sea and the Cleveland Way
