The owner was very friendly, although lived on site next door which we weren't expecting. The heating was efficient as it was quite cool when we stayed. The location is a few miles from Llangollen, so you do need a car or some form of transport to access the property. The living area had a comfy sofa and chairs.

Myself and my family have stayed here alot over the years, in various different rooms.
The place has become very tired and worn and could do with a spruce up.
Carpets ripped, mastic in kitchen all come away .
My room moel Arthur, which I have stayed in twice before was okay, but there was mold/ water damage on ceiling in room and in bathroom, sticky hand prints all over wall, dead wasps on windowsill, side tables sticky, toilet seat didn't fit the toilet. And one of the toilet rolls had blue which I can only imagine as toilet cleaner all over it.
Bed was extremely uncomfortable, woke several times with springs sticking in body and woke up aching and sore.
We love ruthin , and used to love staying in the feathers, but for the price for one night I believe it didn't reflect the presentation of the place on this occasion.
The cottage is beautifully decorated with great facilities and a quaint village shop next door. We made use of the outdoor seating area in the back yard during our stay which was perfect with the summer weather. The property is easy to find and a close location to Ruthin town centre which can be easily accessed by provided taxi companies. We went to Small Plates for dinner which we’d recommend to anyone, it was delicious! The cottage is also a great location for many surrounding walks, we enjoyed the Pystall Rhaeader waterfall walk.
