Many other reviews praise The Shelling as more than meets the eye...at least as far as the photos show. They are correct. The accommodation is awesome. It's a gem. The surrounding area is beautiful. The Eileen Donan castle is part of the neighbourhood... nice to walk by, spectacular when lit up at night. Dornie adorns the shore across from this place, but not a lot is open for business. Except the local pub. Great place, very friendly. The food was delicious, and Tuesdays offer live music that was surprisingly good. Even closer to us was an interesting bakery that sold good coffee with its fine baked goods. Lots to like.
