Everything was wonderful. It began with a shy introduction of ginger carrot soup, welcoming smiles, and a comfortable check-in. The room was so welcoming that I felt instantly at home. Staff were naturally helpful and friendly.. The location was so pretty and relaxing in a leafy village next to a stream. Idyllic setting, walking distance to the village, Viaduct, and other families. There are so many great attractions within a short drive too.

Good size room with a very comfortable large four poster bed. All the staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. Although we were at the front of the hotel, road noise was not really a problem. The restaurant was decent and reasonably priced and the bar had a good selection of drinks. Plenty of car parking. Short 15 minute walk into the village where there are a couple of good pubs.

Close to the village, no public transport from hotel to village and due to time of year unable to walk (icy and -1). Beautiful building and grounds. Staff extremely peasant and helpful in all areas. Quiet time of season so the restaurant was not available on our first night. Large bar area and relaxing atmosphere. Lovely walks in the area plenty of places to eat and drink.

We booked a one night stay to catch up with family who lived in the village nearby - we had an evening meal for four people and both the service from the staff and the quality of the food could not be faulted - they went above and beyond to be fair seating us in the outdoor area with outside heaters and overall we had a great evening.
