The rooms were lovely, very clean and had everything we needed. They were also very close to the event we were attending, and we were grateful for the advice not to walk through the (slightly muddy) forest!. The set up and decoration of the rooms were also really nice and well thought out.

We had a delightful stay at Mount Edgcumbe. It’s a charming beautifully decorated place, the staff were friendly and welcoming and the meals delicious. We’d stay here again.
Staff very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Perfect setting of hotel in the lovely village of Hawkhurst. Room very comfortable. In the evening restaurant food delicious, breakfast food pretty comprehensive and served with a smile. Absolutely loved it.
Cosy studio, very comfortable bed, clean throughout. Great location for the village/pub and for trips locally (Rye, Bedgebury etc). Friendly welcome. Lovely private garden.
It is an old Inn located in a beautiful region. We made small excursions to Bodium Castle, Great Dixter House and Gardens, and smaller villages and their churches nearby. The Pub in the hotel was warm and inviting. Harry Cox and his staff went above and beyond for us. We enjoyed generous meals, fun entertainment, and cozy atmosphere!
Beautiful old pub/Hotel in a pretty village. Great location for visiting Sissinghurst, Great Dixter and the South Coast.
Friendly and professional staff.
Delicious food and drink at night. Great breakfast, charming breakfast room, lovely staff.
Bed was comfortable, with nice quality linen and great housekeeping.
Quiet room.
Easy walk to centre of village, including an excellent Indian restaurant.
Had everything I needed for a short stay. Appreciated the welcome basket and milk, butter, tea, coffee. Lovely bathrooms and bedrooms and furnishings. Very quiet and handy for the village and countryside.
Set in a lovely village location. Staff friendly and welcoming. Nice room with quirky furnishings. Tea/coffee/milk and drinking water provided. Complementary chocolate brownies, towelling dressing gowns and bubble bath products were a nice touch.
Picturesque views, clean and fresh rooms, minimalistic yet thoughtfully put together decors. The hosts, Harriet and Oliver, were just brilliant. They were kind and helpful ( and prepare a breakfast that'll make your day!). Harriet makes these amazing icecreams which is highly recommended..
We would love to go back in spring/summer.. loved all the apple orchids, farm lands and little cottages across the village.
