This place was decorated in such a wonderful way that it feels like a medieval bedroom in many respects. The breakfast was great, staff very helpful, I loved the castle and its grounds and being able to work around it after closing time was great too. The energy of the place is wonderful.

Excellent location. Quiet and rural. A selection of eateries within a short drive. Hosts were welcoming and accommodating Cooking an early breakfast so that we could attend our event on time. Breakfast was good. Room was clean and bright. Bed really comfy.

Absolutely everything was perfect. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed a lovely walk following the map supplied by the hotel. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and room was fabulous. The staff were most attentive and welcoming. Dinner in the brasserie was delicious and the breakfast was amazing with a fabulous choice. The attention to detail was incredible and the facilities available made us want to stay for longer. We will definitely return.

We liked the room, which was a decent size. Decent sized old fashioned bed with wooden headboard. Views over the churchyard, with lovely sound of church bells in the morning which was fine.

It was in a great location and the staff were very friendly and food excellent.

Lovely little place to stay in the little village of Hartfield.
Staff went out of their way to accommodate us even though they had not fully re-opened. Accommodation was spot on and traditional, clean and inviting. Breakfast was lovely with a full English provided even though we weren’t expecting that option. Couldn’t fault this place one bit, we had a fantastic weekend away.
