The property was very clean and comfortable with a beautiful view. Thoughtful extras were provided like home made cake in the room upon our arrival, milk, juice, cereals, teas, coffee and hot chocolate. Plus an amazing breakfast cooked by Vicky each morning who was a great host and also provided us with handy travel recommendations for our trip.

Aurora retreat was an amazing cabin with stunning views and the weather was in its glory. Although access is mainly on one way roads with lots of sheep it added to its amazing charm. It’s close to lots of great spots of interest ( we visited Dunvegan castle, Neist lighthouse and Talisker whiskey. Three chimneys came highly recommended and absolutely didn’t disappoint.

Excellent accommodation. Very comfortable and clean. Although we only stayed one night it was very convenient en route to the ferry at Uig. Would highly recommend.

The best think of the structure is the landlady. She is kind and make the difference in this trip. The best thing to highlight is that she cooks everything homemade, absolutely uncommon in England!

From the moment we saw the photos we knew that this was where we wanted to stay. And we were not disappointed. We celebrated my husband’s 40th birthday in the property and we will not forget it. The property was in pristine condition and every single detail was carefully thought through. The host Grace has decorated the place wonderfully, it has a lovely fusion of history and modernity. My little two boys loved it. They had space to explore and run around and we adults could just relax and enjoy the view. The beds were of high standard, we slept amazingly well. The place was luxurious and well equipped. It is in a peaceful and stunning part of Skye - yes all of Skye is stunning but this part is more so - there are beautiful walks and lovely restaurants in a few mins distance. If the weather is nice then you in for an absolute treat. Even if it’s not, you will have the best possible time. Just watch out for those pesky midges!
If I could give 11/ 10 to the host Grace I would. On hearing the reason for us visiting Skye, Grace surprised us with a stunning cake and a lovely bottle of wine (and midge repellent). She went above and beyond in making sure we were comfortable. During the stay my four year old got sick one night, Grace kindly arranged for new sheets and even got the clothes cleaned for us. If you need something Grace will absolutely make it happen if she can or at least try and provide an alternative. As our stay progressed, there was a possibility of seeing the Northern Lights, which we were unaware of. Grace messaged us about it and provided guidance on where the best place to see them was. In our case Grace absolutely went above and beyond to make us all feel comfortable. We ended calling her a Santa :) She was great at communicating since the moment we booked the accommodation and shared some lovely recommendations for all manner of things ranging from food to activities including telling us about the Aurora.
