Barry and Em were superb hosts, welcoming my mate and I, showing us round, telling us about the local area and giving us a great tip about a shortcut through some amazing scenery to a nearby pub/hotel which served excellent food and drink. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and had the added bonus of a big window out of which one could see all manner of birds congregating on a series of bird feeders (if you like that sort of thing, which I do!). All in all, a great launching point for our schlep around the NW coast of Scotland. Would definitely stay at LDS again.

Beautiful setting in the wilderness (no village is nearby). Great staff and good restaurant, both breakfast and dinner with many options. High standard and clean. They have a small petrol station which is good beacuse this is a remote location. Also there is a nice bakery. Value for money.
