Cheltenham Studio Apartment, hotel in Birdlip

Cheltenham Studio Apartment, a property with a terrace, is situated in Cheltenham, 33 km from Cotswold Water Park, 48 km from Coughton Court, as well as 14 km from Sudeley Castle.

The apartment was very well designed with everything a couple would need, all in a small space. The host was very welcoming and it was a nice touch to provide fresh milk in a jug in the fridge and a new pack of ground coffee for our use. The apartment was in a quiet residential cul de sac within walking distance of central Cheltenham. Having a parking space in front was extremely convenient and though we didn't use it, there was use of a table and chairs (with vase of sunflowers) in the garden area outside. The apartment though attached to the house felt private. The bathroom had a very good electric shower with a wide and open cubicle which felt very spacious. We'd use this accommodation again if we need to come to Cheltenham. The wifi was good too, both for leisure needs and for my partner's remote working for a couple of days. Kitchen equipment, stove, crockery etc etc all good, including cafetière and teapot.

Staff were exceptional. Warmly welcomed at reception by friendly and enthusiastic receptionist. Another very knowledgable receptionist provided information on recommended villages and towns to visit. Staff in dining room were all very friendly, particularly the young girl (heading off to Cardiff Uni) - she is an asset to the hotel.

We were walking the Cotswolds Way and the Royal George was just off the Route. You can access the hotel in the village of Birdlip, from just off the Trail, rather than having to walk on the busy main road. We had a great stay, it was exceptional Value for money, with a great room that had a massive bed. The evening meals and breakfast had great choices and were lovely and the staff were very friendly.

Room was clean, comfortable. appreciated room being serviced regularly. Help from staff moving luggage, being allocated a ground floor room. we stayed here about 10 years ago, and it seems it was renovated since then, and quite nicely. We enjoyed the village location of the hotel, and the parking space available
