Great location to explore Dordogne.
Accommodation very clean, and well equipped. Very private and quiet but close to lots of attractions and facilities.
Host really friendly and helpful.
Air con was very welcome as it was unusually hot when we were there.

We really enjoyed having the air con in the dome, it made our stay really comfortable at night.
We also loved being able to use the pool and hot tub.
The bean to cup coffee machine in the kitchen and kettle in our Dome were lovely additions. The welcome pack and shower were great.

The breakfast was delightful. A typical French breakfast of croissant’s or French bread, yoghurt, fresh fruit salad, juice, assorted jams, cheese and delicious fresh coffee served outside in a most attractive patio area. The decked patio area was a lovely spot to relax in the evening. Very friendly hosts, with good command of English.

The interior of the Chateau was spotlessly clean and modern. The hotel manager spoke flawless English and was ready to answer any requests we had, and to arrange dinner reservations for us. Everything in the place was of top quality. We were told that renovations had been done less than a year previously.
The manager greeted us personally upon arrival, gave us a tour of the key features of the house and grounds, and a brief history of the place. She then provided complimentary beverages to enjoy, followed by showing us our room and it's features. We were treated like nobility, everything was first class!

A larger traditional hotel in a small village, in the area of great natural beauty. Very friendly English speaking people. Picnic area and parking near the river. Generously sized bathroom.
The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. The food was excellent too. It felt like we were staying in neighborhood gem, and not a commercial hotel. We loved it for that. Plus, the location is perfect for exploring the villages and countryside of the Perigord Noir.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Domaine de Rochebois. The setting of the hotel is stunning, the facilities are excellent and all the staff are friendly and attentive. The breakfast is delicious and offers a wide selection of sweet and savoury delicacies and the view from the breakfast balcony is exceptional. The pool and spa treatments are fantastic and rooms are comfortable, light and spacious. In addition, the hotel is well situated to visit the surrounding area and is walking distance to the beautiful village of Vitrac.
Everything was on the ground level with an external door which allows you to come and go as you please. Convenient free parking was excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the room had a good view of the village castle. Breakfast was good with excellent coffee. We enjoyed the swimming pool which was very private. The hosts Virginie and Eric were very friendly and made us feel welcome.
