What a wonderful treat this is! A gracious country house, in the same family for 5 generations and now hosted by a young couple and their 4 lovely children.
We stayed in a quiet, spacious room, with a large bed, good linen and country views.
Breakfast was special, served in the beautiful dining room, in front of the enormous hearth.
We chose one 'salty' and one 'sweet' option and enjoyed an excellent selection of high quality hams, cheese, butter, jams, eggs & yoghurt.
We stayed for 2 nights, but could easily spend a week in the area around Saint Cirq Lapopie.
This is a place to return to!
Thank you Edwina & Thomas.

A beautiful setting at the heart of a working organic farm, and an excellent base for exploring the area, with shops and restaurants nearby. Host Yann was super-helpful and friendly, and the organic breakfast (all locally produced) was outstanding. The rooms are basic, clean and comfortable.

It is a beautiful place, in a natural environment and with everything you need nearby. The town is small but it has a supermarket and a place to eat. It is on the way to the towns we wanted to visit, so the location was very good for us. At night you only hear the crickets. The breakfast was very good, with yogurt, a delicious cake and the inevitable baguette. We would have wanted something salty too, but that's what they usually have for breakfast in France. The room we booked is in a mansard with a sloping ceiling, but it is spacious. There is a lack of acoustic insulation so as not to disturb those on the lower floor. Many thanks to Alex for your attention to details and for the supplies you left us for the road (we left very early and didn't have time to have breakfast)

We stayed 2 nights and by then our hosts, Brian and Penni, felt like old friends. The accommodation has all we could need - and, refreshingly, power points in all the right places. We were able to relax in this part of France. And Penni provided lovely breakfasts. Supermarket and fuel 5 minutes away. St Cirque-Lapopie is 10 minutes away, and not to be missed.
This Irish-owned, 15th-century former hunting lodge has kept some original features such as vast stone fireplaces, stone sinks and oak beams. Some modern features include an outdoor swimming pool.

Amazing place!. Amazing hosts!. Thanks Sarah and Steve for making our trip most memorable!
Best place to hideaway. Beautiful views of the country side. Rooms are huge and extremely well decorated. The whole place is!
Doesn't feel like a hotel, but a real french country side experience.
We will never forget!
In our 10 day trip, staying at your home was what we all thought to be the best part.
Being in the country side, restaurants etc can be 15-20 min away, but in fact the trip to get there is an experience on itself.
p.s. Thanks Steve for the recommendations of what to see in the area!

Very helpful owner who made sure our bikes were well cared for! A lovely room - cool and comfortable. Great breakfast and a very tasty salad/cheese/charcuterie dinner. Really close to Grotte de Pech-Merle. Also, a sweet dog and a friendly cat.
What a lovely place to stay . The lady was really nice and helpful on arrival . We even had a garage to park the motorcycle . Lovely ancient town across the bridge . Little village down the road . Ideal to stay over and have a safe place for your motorcycle . Would use again
Our beautiful, comfortable room overlooking the vineyard and Le Cirq Lapopie beyond. We loved the spa facilities and used them every afternoon during our stay. I highly recommend paying for the entire stay access pass to the spa, excellent value 👌. Walking distance to the supermarket, restaurants and bakery. For the village of St Cirq Lapopie itself, it is better to park in P3 and walk, taking in the stunning scenery...or use P6 for a shorter walk 🚶♀️.
The hospitality is excellent!!
Very helpful and kind gesture by the owners!
The village Saint Cirq Lapopie is just 15 minutes by foot.
The cycle rent boutique is nearby.
That view!! Incredible to wake up early and see the clouds rising up from the river and around the village. Our check in was easy, parking was free, and the room size was awesome for Europe. We had an adorable patio with a table and reclining chairs. The pool was so relaxing, you could watch sheep in the pasture from the pool, while looking over the vineyard
Our room was in a bungalow in the grounds by a pool. The view from our terrace was across the valley to the village - just beautiful, lit up at night too. The room was very spacious and comfortable with lovely furnishings and a huge shower.
Breakfast was a short walk past the vines to the main building and was excellent with ample coffee and good choices. The staff were very friendly and helpful with advice of places to visit and restaurants for evening meals, all close by.
Beautiful old chateau which the young owners are restoring with great care. Lovely location on the river Lot, across from the spectacular clifftop village of St Cirq Lapopie. Dining opportunities were few (non-existent actually) in Tour de Faure, but you can drive up to St Cirq and park just above the village, with a path leading down to very nice restaurants. Incidentally, if you arrive to the car park after 7pm, the parking is free!
