We received a very warm welcome. The room was very comfortable and we had a good breakfast.
The location is excellent; next to la Loire and ideal for travelling to nearby historic sites, the fortress at Chinon for example.

The breakfast was out of this world and set us for the day. To be fair, I must admit that this was one of the most enjoyable meals in our lives.
The village was clean and tidy and plenty to see and do.

5 of us stayed at La Douce France for 4 nights and absolutely loved it! The house is really spacious and you can see the effort that has gone into providing everything you could need. The bedrooms and bathrooms are well kept and the pool, garden, bbq area mean you can spend full days there in the sun. The house was clean on arrival and off-street parking is provided. No shops nearby but only a 20min walk to Chinon which has plenty of restaurants and boulangeries, and cycle and canoe hire.
