The owner's attention to little details and her hospitality were exceptional. The apartment and a studio are single story structures that are adjacent to the main home of a family which appeared to include two extremely well-behaved young men and a dog. It is a step down from the main courtyard to the apartment. Directly across from the entry gate is a small park, through which a walkway leads to the old town center - this is barely a 5 minute walk and while we were there it was home to a fair with rides games and the smell of fried dough. Unfortunately we enjoyed the meals in Senlis too much to partake of the bounty. While not relevant to the apartment itself, you should know that there is a dedicated Uber pickup point at CDG airport that will get you to Senlis in about 20 minutes for $45 (as of 2022) - in addition to the apartment being lovely, it is a steal compared to the airport hotels and restaurants.

Le Castel Ecossais was a wonderful b&b to spend the last night of my trip. Only a 30 minute drive to CDG airport. An elegant and historic building in the old town, it was perfect in every way. The hosts were charming and helpful, and shared with me more of the building’s history. I loved my room with its four poster bed and dressing room that helped with packing. It was quiet and comfortable, with a lovely garden view, an excellent breakfast and parking in the courtyard.

Perfect location for a night's rest on our Christmas trek up from Toulouse to Amsterdam. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room, bathroom and kitchen downstairs. Localisation is very good- the center of the old town. You get actually everything at hand. The apartment is very clean and clear, though its windows are on the court of the building. A lot of artificial light and clear interior colors make the work. Jordan, host, is exceptional. His attitude towards guest is far from expected. Very supportive - he help me physically with my very lourd luggage, and also with his kindness and calm. Just be aware, this is typical old city building, not the modern one, but the apartment is still very comfortable and well equipped. I would definitely recommend!
