The stay is basically a garage apartment. The ceilings are low, there is little natural light in the bedroom, because there is only a large window at the front entrance. Everything is provided and clean. The facility shows some use but is well-kept. The hostess is very friendly and helpful. When we arrived, there were three dogs, some of which tried to enter the apartment but left by command. The location is right outside of town. There is a pretty village close-by for an evening stroll. There is also a covered pool: very convenient in the hot summer.

One of the highlights of my stay was the impressive breakfast served at Villa Paignon. The spread was generous and catered to every taste bud, offering a wide array of options, from savory to sweet. Freshly baked bread and croissants added a delightful touch, perfectly complementing the selection of ham and cheese. In conclusion, my experience at Villa Paignon surpassed all expectations, making it a truly unforgettable getaway. This was a last minute booking due to us travelling by motorcycle and experiencing some very heavy rain. The hotel owner was so welcoming and friendly. She even offered to make us a cup of tea once we had dried off. It could not have been better.

The Contessa is a marvel and so welcoming. Everything was perfect at her beautiful home and chambres d'hôte. Unfortunately I was not able to enjoy her home cooked table d'hôte. I'm sure it would have been splendid. I have no hesitation in recommending this gem to everyone. I'm sorry I left without saying goodbye.
