I loved 🥰 the hospitality… it was like visiting some friends of friends. The quietness and the - like we say in danish. “Down to earth” way. Nothing posh … just honesty… it’s very, very far out on the countryside… but if you want to sit at a cafe Manciac is not far - 10-15 min drive . We had dinner one night- and enjoyed both the company and the food.

Se loved everything about our "discovery" of Maison et Jardin Talinou, the situation, the hosts, the hastily rustled together perfect evening meal ( because we initially said "no" to dinner, but then arrived hungry! ), the welcoming of our dog Alfie and the gardens are magical too. Will we return?....Oh yes!

This is the place to stay if you are looking for genuine ' French Period' chic. The old family house has been beautifully done up and you are right in the middle of the town square in the charming small village of Galan, the hosts are very thoughtful and kind and the breakfast served outside is second to none. Definitely recommend over the other Le Clos, which I have also recently stayed at (unless having a swimming pool is important to you). There are 3 restaurants (one of which is a 3 Star Michelin) all within walking distance of your B and B.
Cute village, Nice pool, the hosts went out of their way to find us gluten free bread! And very nice breakfast. Our hosts were the ideal blend of friendliness and respect for privacy. Also beautiful view of fields from the bedroom.
